Annie Annunziato transferred to Augsburg after playing her first two seasons at Manhattanville College in New York, and made a tremendous impact as a forward for the Auggie women’s hockey team. In her two seasons, the Auggies made the MIAC postseason playoffs and won 27 games. She played in 53 career games as an Auggie, finishing fifth in school history with 40 career goals, fourth in school history with 50 assists, and fourth in school history with 90 points. Her 15 career power-play goals and four shorthanded goals are both tied for the most in Augsburg history, and she had a plus-34 career plus-minus rating. She earned All-MIAC honors in both of her Auggie seasons, and was named an AHCA Division III All-American her senior year. Annie was a history major at Augsburg, and later went on to earn her master’s degree in education from Manhattanville, and a master’s degree in school leadership from the City College of New York. After graduating from Augsburg, Annie played adult hockey in Minnesota, winning national titles with the Blue Jays. She returned to her native New York in 2008 to begin her teaching career. Since 2016, she has served as an assistant principal at a public middle and high school in Brooklyn. She married her wife Emily in 2017. They have a son, Aydan, and live in Astoria, New York.
