Moore played basketball for Minneapolis VFW team that advanced to the 1953 National Tournament. For six years, he taught elementary school in San Bernardino (Calif.) school district and later served on the Equitable Salaries Commission for the California-Hawaiian Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Moore currently resides in Kingman, Arizona.
