Board won MIAC doubles championship and defeated two other conference champions to win the regional tournament and qualify for nationals in 1970. He was also coach of the tennis team his senior year. Since 1970, Board has worked in public education in Minnetonka and the University of Minnesota and was principal at Deephaven Elementary from 1985-1999. Also was chairman of the Lake Conference Athletic Directors group and president-elect of the Minnesota Elementary School Principals Association. From 1999-2002, he was the founding Principal of Minnesota Business Academy, a Charter High School in St. Paul. Since retirement from public education in 2004, Board relocated to Seattle where he currently is a Project Director for the Pacific Institute. This Institute works with athletic teams, educational institutions, government and private industry to help individuals and organizations realize their potential.
