Augsburg University Athletics

Wagner was a member of both the football and wrestling teams at Augsburg. He was a MIAC Champion three times for wrestling. His first title came during his freshman season at 177 pounds and again in his junior and senior seasons at 167 pounds. In his junior season, Wagner was honored with the Larson Award, which is the MIAC Tournament Most Valuable Player award. Wagner taught in the Duluth school system.
