Augsburg University Athletics

Womeldorf was a member of the basketball and golf programs at Augsburg, and earned All-MIAC honors in both sports during his career. He was a two-time All-MIAC selection in golf (1980-81 and 1981-82), and earned All-MIAC honors in basketball in 1981-82. He earned team Most Valuable Player honors in golf his junior and senior seasons. In basketball, Womeldorf was a member of Augsburg teams that finished 81-32 and won MIAC championships in 1979-80 and 1980-81 (later forfeited). The 1980-81 team finished unbeaten in league play and advanced to the NAIA national quarterfinals in Kansas City, MO. Womeldorf graduated with a business degree from Augsburg, and became a manufacturer sales representative in the furniture industry. He currently is a territory manger for the Ashley Furniture Company. Womeldorf has four children – Andrew (a former Augsburg golfer), Jacob, Zachary, and Samantha and lives in Northfield, Minnesota.
