A three time All-MIAC selection and three time MIAC Player of the Year, Anderson helped lead the Auggies to three MIAC championships and two NAIA Tournament appearances while also setting records for career points (2,052 points, third overall) and rebounding at Augsburg. Graduated with a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Physics and Psychology, then went on to play basketball for four years as a member of the Goodyear Wingfoots in the industrial league. Later became a charter member of the New Jersey Americans of the ABA; the Americans since have become the New Jersey Nets. After basketball, he entered into financial services business and has been involved in it in various roles over the past 40 years. Anderson is currently chairman of AdvisorNet Financial, which has about 300 planning practitioners affiliated with it specializing in investments, employee benefits, insurance and financial planning. During this time he has served on a variety of local and national boards for industry associations. Currently a board member of The Financial Services Institute, AdvisorNet Financial, AdvisorNet Mortgage, AdvisorNet P&C, and Augsburg College.
