Huglen scored 34 points against Hamline in his last collegiate basketball game. He graduated from Augsburg Seminary in 1957 and ordained into ministry. Since 1962, Huglen has been a parish pastor in Roseau, Minnesota. He has also coached the Roseau boys “B” team and 8^th grade girls basketball teams and writes weekly sports column for the Roseau Times-Region.
