One of the top offensive third basemen in Augsburg's baseball history, Grengs was an All-MIAC honoree during his senior season and was a member of the 1988 MIAC championship team. A four-year letter winner in baseball, Grengs currently ranks seventh in school history with 144 games played. In 1987, he earned All-MIAC honors after hitting .429 with nine doubles, five triples, seven home runs and 54 RBI. In his senior season, Grengs hit .343 with five doubles and two triples, while scoring 34 runs and recording 17 stolen bases. The single-season leader in stolen bases, runs scored and hits, Grengs currently ranks first in school history with 60 stolen bases, second in runs scored with 134, third in career hits with 168, and fourth in RBI with 99. A 1988 Augsburg graduate with a health and physical education major, Grengs currently works as a national trainer for new restaurant openings, where he has worked with several high-end restaurant groups throughout his career. The son of Mary Grengs, Jack has three sisters -- Beth Combs, Jen Schaulenberg and Sandy Peters -- and currently resides in St. Paul, Minn.
