Jeff Andrews was a key defender on some of the best teams in Augsburg men’s hockey history. An All-MIAC player in the 1981-82 season and an All-MIAC honorable mention selection in 1980-81, Jeff played on teams that went 97-17-2 overall, and an amazing 56-6-1 in MIAC play. The Auggies won MIAC titles and reached the NAIA national playoffs all four years of Jeff’s career, and he was a part of Auggie teams that won the NAIA national titles in both 1981 and 1982. In 104 career games, Jeff scored 29 goals with 60 assists for 89 points, including 14 goals and 32 assists for 46 points in conference play. Jeff was a business management major at Augsburg, and after graduating in 1982, he began a long career in the hotel industry, in the Twin Cities, St. Louis and Brainerd. Over the past quarter-century, he has served as a hotel general manager, currently at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Shakopee. He has also served as a chairman of two convention and visitors boards, and has been active coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams. Jeff and his wife, Jessika, have five children -- Nikki, Dylan, Wyatt, Kyler and Alexa -- and two grandchildren -- Cayden and Caleb -- and live in Burnsville, Minnesota.
