An NAIA wrestling All-American in 1977, Blixt won three MIAC individual championships at 177 pounds (1975, 1976, and 1977). He also placed fourth in the NAIA tournament in 1977. As a team, the Auggies finished in the top 10 in the NAIA championship race three times in his career, including a second-place finish in 1975. He was a team captain in 1977. Since graduating from Augsburg, he has spent the last 24 years involved in the real estate industry. He was a real estate agent for four years and served as a mortgage banker and loan office manager for 10- years. For the past 10 years, he has served as president, CEO and co-owner of Inspecta-Homes of America, the first company in Minnesota and the region performing inspections on residential and light commercial real estate. He and his wife, Bev, have two children – Matthew and Allison – and live in Maplewood, Minnesota.
