Kevin Van Rossum was a year-round athlete throughout his Augsburg days, excelling in both basketball and golf for the Auggies. A two-time All-MIAC selection and conference sixth man of the year his sophomore year, he played in 100 games in his Auggie basketball career, currently ranked 22nd in school history with 1,025 points. A deadly shooter from the outside, Kevin connected on 239 three-pointers in his career, still the only Auggie in school history to hit more than 200 shots from long range. He also contributed 140 assists, 89 steals and 136 rebounds. He was a part of Auggie teams that made the MIAC playoffs all four years, winning the conference title and reaching the NCAA Division III national playoffs in both his sophomore and junior seasons. In golf, Kevin earned MIAC tournament medalist and Division III All-American honorable mention honors in his senior season, qualifying as an individual for the 2000 NCAA Division III national championships. Competing in 76-and-a-half rounds in his career, he finished with a 77.62 stroke average, ninth-best in school history. He had a sub-80 stroke average in each of his four seasons, including a team-best 76.2 average in his senior year. He earned Augsburg's Male Athlete of the Year award in 2000. Kevin was a business administration major at Augsburg, and later earned his MBA from North Park University. He has been a successful entrepreneur in the Milwaukee area over the past two decades. He founded the 3-Tree Marketing Company in 2005, and currently serves as the company's president. In 2016, he founded Rampart Safety Solutions, and founded VR Investments in 2017. He's also a successful mid-amateur golfer, finishing in a tie for 16th at the USGA Mid-Amateur Championship in 2015 and earning Wisconsin State Golf Association Player of the Year honors. Kevin and his wife Jennifer, a 2000 Augsburg alumnae, have three sons, Parker, Grayson and Samuel, and live in Hartland, Wisconsin.
