Ockuly earned All-MIAC and All-Region honors three times each in softball, and was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-American in 1995. An outfielder and pitcher, she had 138 hits (fifth in school history), 34 doubles (second in school history), 92 RBI (second in school history), five home runs (second in school history) and 89 runs scored (sixth in school history) in her career. She was an Augsburg Honor Athlete in 1995. She played in every game during all four years of her career and started all but one –the first game of her freshman year. Ockuly was an elementary education major and health minor at Augsburg. After her Augsburg days, she moved into education. For the past nine years, she has taught kindergarten in Maple Grove, Minnesota, at a Montessori school. She has coached youth softball and is active in supporting her children’s sports and activities. Ockuly and her husband Peter have four children – Tyler, Gabrielle, Andrew and Emma – and live in Champlin, Minnesota.
