Augsburg University Athletics

A three-time All-MIAC pitching selection (1983, 1984, 1985) in softball, Svac earned AIAW All-State and All-Region honors twice and All-West Region honors her junior campaign, as a member of Auggie softball squads that won the Minnesota AIAW state title twice (1982, 1983) and MIAC championships three times (1982, 1983, 1984). Her 47 pitching wins and her 1.35 career earned run average are both second-best in school history, and she is on the school’s pitching record list in 15 different career and single-season categories. In volleyball, Svac earned All-MIAC honors in 1984. She was a Dean’s list student and graduated cum laude. Since graduating from Augsburg in 1985, she has worked in marketing positions at numerous companies, including KSTP-TV, Rollerblade, Word Records, the Sled Dogs Company, Deluxe Corporation and Musicland. She is a world traveler, an active leader in her church and is still active in softball, both playing and coaching at the youth level in New Brighton, Minnesota, where she currently lives.
