Augsburg University Athletics

McDonough was a three-sport athlete at Augsburg, as a member and team captain of the women’s basketball, volleyball and softball teams. McDonough also served for two years as a student representative to Minnesota Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. Teams she played for qualified for MAIAW state tournaments in each of her three sports, including a second-place finish in softball, eighth-place finish in women’s basketball and sixth-place finished in volleyball her senior season. She earned Augsburg’s Honor Athlete designation her senior year. McDonough graduated with a health and physical education major and music minor. She has continued her athletic endeavors beyond graduation, playing rugby for seven years and playing Fastpitch softball for many years. McDonough has served for 21 years as a senior manager for FedEx, where she says, “I coach seven manager, 165 couriers, and service agents as industrial athletes across greater Minnesota.” McDonough lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
