Considered one of the top goalkeepers in the history of Augsburg men’s soccer, Anderson earned All-MIAC honors in 1978, 1979, and 1980, also earning NAIA All-District honors his junior and senior seasons. In his senior season of 1980, he recorded 11 wins, eight shutouts and a 0.53 goals-against-average (all school single-season goalkeeping records) to help lead the Auggies to an 11-1-3 overall record and MIAC championship (9-0-3 MIAC). Anderson majored in business administration and marketing while minoring studio art at Augsburg. After graduation, he moved into the manufacturing sector, working during his career with Continental Diversified Industries, TCB and Best Buy, before moving to his current employer, Anderson Windows. Anderson and his wife, Maureen, have two sons – Drew, was a member of the University of Wisconsin Green Bay Division I men’s soccer team; and Bret. Anderson has been active in coaching youth soccer and baseball in Stillwater and Woodbury, while also playing in adult soccer leagues. The family lives in Woodbury, Minnesota.
