A transfer from Itasca Community College, Marty set Augsburg’s career record for rushing yards, finishing with 2,226 in just 21 games, a mark that stood until the 2014 season. His 414 career carries rank fourth in school history, and his 16 rushing touchdowns are fifth-most. He also holds the school record for longest touchdown rush, a 95-yarder in 1992. He earned All-MIAC honors in both 1992 and 1993. Marty also competed for the Auggie wrestling team in the 1993 season, winning the conference title and advancing to the Division III national tournament at 190 pounds, part of Augsburg’s second Division III national championship team. Since graduating from Augsburg, Marty has worked in sales and account management, earning several awards in the field.
