Farley earned All-MIAC honors three seasons (1986, 1987, 1988) as an outfielder for some of the best Augsburg baseball teams in school history. The Auggies won the MIAC championship in 1987 and qualified for the NCAA Division III national playoffs in both 1986 and 1987. Farley finished his career with a .347 batting average and .554 slugging percentage, with 23 doubles, 11 triples, 18 home runs, 40 stolen bases and 109 RBI in his career. He hit above .330 each of his four seasons. Farley remained active in baseball for many years after graduating, playing on Class A amateur state title teams in 1993 and 1997 with St. Paul Highland Park with fellow Auggie Hall of Famers Mark Herzog and Steve Nayman, earning MVP honors at the 1997 state tournament. He also played for the Dundas Dukes under Augsburg Hall of Famer Bill Nelson, winning state titles in 1998 and 1999. He retired from baseball in 2000, and works as a Realtor for ReMax Results in Edina, Minn. He lives in St. Louis Park, Minn., and has two children, Grace and Ben.
