Mike Eayrs has had a distinguished football coaching career. He currently serves on the Green Bay Packers coaching staff as the Director of Research and Development, a position he has held since 2001. Prior to his time with the Packers, he served in a similar capacity for the Minnesota Vikings for 16 years. In his role with the NFL, he has been a leader in computer applications for football research, producing video and statistical analysis for coaches and front-office personnel. Prior to working in the NFL, Mike served as a football assistant coach and teacher at the high school and collegiate levels. Mike coached collegiately at South Dakota, UW-La Crosse, Mankato State and Luther, earning four teaching excellence awards, and being a part of coaching staffs for five college conference championship teams. Mike graduated from Augsburg as a Social Science major and went on to earn his Masters degree from the University of South Dakota and is Doctor of Education from the University of Oregon. Mike and his wife Mary Jo, currently reside in Green Bay, Wisconsin and have three grown children -- Matt, Elizabeth and Brian -- and two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Mary.
