An Augsburg Honor Athlete and All-Lutheran Athletic Award winner in 1980, Meissner Curtis competed in both volleyball and softball for the Auggies. She was part of an Auggie volleyball squad that finished second at the MAIAW state tournament in 1979, finishing 27-15-3. She was a physical education major and health minor at Augsburg. Since 1988, she has been employed at Tennant Company in Golden Valley, Minnesota. She and her husband Greg have coached and trained kids of all ages in basketball. In addition, she was a member of several state championship teams in adult softball before retiring in 1997. She is still playing volleyball on an adult women’s team, and enjoys golfing and working out. She and her husband Greg live in Plymouth, Minnesota, and have five children – Randi, Ryan, Alyssa, Greg, and Marquel.
