Randy Eastman had an outstanding career for the Augsburg wrestling team. In his three seasons as an Auggie after spending his first year at Minnesota State Mankato, Randy earned All-American honors three times, finishing second nationally at 167 pounds in 1995, third in 1994 and fifth in 1993. In his first national tournament in 1993, he earned the Most Pins award with three in his tourney run. He was a leader on Augsburg teams that won the NCAA Division III national titles in both 1993 and 1995, while finishing fourth in 1994. He won MIAC titles at 167 pounds in his sophomore and junior seasons, while finishing as runner-up his senior year. Randy also played baseball for two seasons at Augsburg. Randy was a marketing major at Augsburg, and after earning his degree in 1995, he and his wife Angelene moved to Springfield, Illinois. For the past 23 years, he has worked in the telecom injury, including 20 years at Verizon. He has also been involved in the law enforcement and Department of Defense communities for nearly his whole career, attending the FBI Citizens Academy and serving as an area chair for the Illinois Employer Support for Guard and Reserve organization. Randy and Angelene have two children, Ashley and Austin, and live in Springfield, Illinois.
