Augsburg University Athletics

An honorable-mention NAIA All-American in 1975, Hamilton was a member of Augsburg’s men’s basketball team for two seasons, earning All-MIAC and NAIA All-District honors in both 1973-74 and 1974-75. He earned MIAC Most Valuable Player honors in 1974-75, leading an Auggie squad that won the MIAC championship and advanced to the NAIA district championship game. His 902 career points in two seasons put him 21^st in school history in scoring. He led the Auggies in scoring both of his seasons and in rebounding his senior campaign. Since graduating from Augsburg, Hamilton has worked in the construction and safety equipment field, selling supplies to local companies in the Twin Cities for the past 30  years. Hamilton and his wife, Jann (Meissner), also a 1975 Augsburg graduate, have two children, Mikalya and Garrett, and live in Bloomington, Minnesota.
