Scott was three-year football letterwinner who was a starting center and excellent blocker. He has been employed by Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 since 1965. Scott posted a 128-62-1 record in 22 seasons as high school head football coach and directed Coon Rapids High School to the 1983 Class AA State Football Championship. He was an associate principal at Anoka High School. After receiving his master’s degree in counseling psychology from the College of St. Thomas in 1977, Scott went on to getting his administrative license in 1989. After 36 years, Scott retired from secondary education in 1997. From 1997-2002, he was an assistant football coach at Augsburg and is currently the assistant football coach at Coon Rapids High School.
