An All-MIAC men’s basketball selection in 1981, Henderson was a member of Auggie teams that won MIAC championships in 1980 and 1981, and an NAIA district championship and Final Eight team in 1981 as team co-captain. In two seasons at Augsburg, Henderson scored 904 career points, good for 19th best in school history, averaging 10.9 points per game. His 20 assists in a 1979 game against St. Mary’s is still the single-game school record, and he holds the school record for career assists. He graduated from Augsburg in 1971 with a psychology and health/physical education degree. He continued his basketball after his Auggie days, playing in leagues in Australia and Mexico, and has also done work for the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team, working with youth camps and speaking engagements. He currently works as a behavior specialist at West Central Academy, a junior high school in Minneapolis. He has four children, Aneshia, Krystal, Yves and Ronnie Jr., and lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
