Considered one of the top women’s basketball players in school history, Lodermeier Strusz holds most of Augsburg’s major school records, including career points (1,599), career points-per-game (16.2), career rebounds (956) and career rebounds-per-game (9.7). In all, she holds seven career and four single-season school records, and her sophomore, junior and senior season scoring totals are the top three scoring efforts in a single season in school history. A forward, she earned All-MIAC honors in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98, was named a 1997-98 preseason All-America and earned honorable-mention Team of the Year honors from Division III Basketball Online her senior year. An Academic All-MIAC honoree, she was an Augsburg Senior Honor Athlete in 1998, while also earning Joyce Pfaff Academic Award honors. A health and physical education major at Augsburg, she graduated in 1998 and later earned a degree in special education from St. Cloud State. She currently teaches special education at Woodbury Elementary School in the South Washington County School District, and lives in Maplewood, Minn., with her husband Jon Strusz.
