Sue Gehrke Erdman shined in both basketball and softball during her days at Augsburg. In softball, Sue was a three-year starter in the outfield, earning All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors and N-F-C-A first-team All-West Region honors in her senior season of 1992, when she hit .356 with a team-best 23 RBI for an Auggie squad that won 24 games. She was a solid fielder, committing just six errors in her final three seasons. She was one of only six players in school history to have an errorless season in the field, in her final campaign. In basketball, Sue earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors in her senior season, a year which she served as team captain. She averaged more than nine points per-game in both her sophomore and senior seasons, and she finished her career with 730 career points and 142 career free throws made. A native of Menominee, Michigan, Sue was a marketing major at Augsburg, and worked in the Twin Cities until 1999, when she returned to her home area. She coached the University of Wisconsin-Marinette women's basketball team for four years, and also worked in the human resources profession for the Manpower corporation. She has been active in many community organizations in the Marinette-Menominee area, including serving as president of the local chamber of commerce for two years. Sue and her husband, Shane, have two children, Carson and Wynn, and live in Marinette, Wisconsin.
