The other half of the Schultz twins, Ted Schultz finished his career as one of the top tight ends in the history of Augsburg football. Starting all 42 of his career games, Ted caught 152 passes for 1,662 yards and 13 touchdowns in his Augsburg career, earning All-MIAC first team honors in 1997, second-team honors in 1996 and honorable mention honors in 1995 and 1994. He caught 43 passes for 462 yards and six touchdowns in 1996, then caught 67 passes for 643 yards and five touchdowns in 1997, as part of the Augsburg squad that won the MIAC championship and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III national tournament, finishing 10-2. He earned Division III All-America third-team honors in 1997, and was named the team's Auggie Award winner and Augsburg's co-senior Honor Athlete. A history and secondary education major, Ted earned CoSIDA Academic All-America and Academic All-MIAC Honor Roll honors his senior year, in addition to being named a Burger King National Scholar Athlete of the Week, an AFCA Good Works Team honoree, and an NCAA Post-graduate Scholarship recipient. He earned his master's degree and specialist degree in education from Minnesota State-Mankato. He started his career in education administration in Cannon Falls, serving as athletic director and head football coach for four years. He then moved to Bloomington, where he served six years as the district's athletic director. Since 2010, he has served as student activities director for the Minnetonka Public Schools. His teams have won 26 state titles in his 10 years with the Skippers. Ted and his wife Michelle have three children, Brooke, Tyson and Luke, and live in Bloomington, Minnesota.
