One of the only three Auggies to ever earn All-American honors twice in men’s hockey (1981, 1982), Brown was a key member of teams that won NAIA national championships in 1981 and 1982. He was voted the Most Valuable Player of the 1981 national tournament. Brown earned All-MIAC honors twice, was a two-year captain, and is the school’s all-time leader in both assist (101) and total points (167). In golf, he was a four-year letterwinner, two-time captain and won the MIAC individual championship in 1982. After graduating from Augsburg, he managed a charitable gaming organization and managed a non-profit night club in West St. Paul, and later worked as a residential home appraiser and now works as a systems analyst/programmer for the State of Minnesota Revisor of Statues office. He has volunteered as a coach and board member for youth sports programs in the St. Paul area. He currently lives in Roseville, Minnesota, and has two children – Jacob and Jenna.
