One of the top running backs in Augsburg football history, Graves holds the school record for career carries (497) and is second all-time in rushing yardage (2,059 years). His 12 rushing touchdowns are fourth-most in school history. He earned All-MIAC honors, was team Most Valuable Player and was a Lutheran brotherhood Lutheran College All-American in 1972, when he set a single-season school record in 867 rushing yards, a mark that stood for 19 years. He was a member of Auggie teams that improved from 1-8 his freshmen year to a 7-2 mark his senior season (1973), the second-best record in school history. Since 1978, Graves has worked in the residential and commercial building industry. He lives in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and has two children, Wayne Jr. and Leah.
