Scholl earned All-MIAC honors in baseball in 1984 and 1986 as a catcher. He hit .417 with 31 runs batted in and 14 extra-base hits in 1984, while hitting .403 with 20 RBI, seven extra-base hit and a .989 fielding percentage during the 1986 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional season. Scholl was a four-year letter winner in baseball and a two-year captain. He was a physical education and developmental adapted physical education major, and later earned his master’s degree in education. He currently works for the Burnsville (Minn.) School District teaching junior high physical education, health and developmental adaptive physical education, serving nine years as the department’s area leader. He has also coached several sports at the junior high and high school levels, including currently serving as varsity baseball head coach, a team that has been ranked in the top 20 in the state, and has been the head SAC (strength and conditioning) instructor for  summer training.. He is also active in his church as an usher and Sunday School teacher, and has been active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Special Olympics. He has played baseball for the Dundas Dukes’ 35-older team and now enjoys coaching his son’s traveling baseball team. Scholl has two children – Megan and Robby – and lives in Burnsville, Minnesota.
