Augsburg University Athletics

Nelson pitched in both games of a doubleheader against St. Thomas, in a crucial series in helping the Auggies to the 1973 MIAC championship. He is currently the head baseball coach at Carleton College and of the Dundas amateur team, which finished second in the 1996 Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament. Since 1971, he has been involved in amateur baseball, either playing, coaching or administrating.
