Alex Pollock (Wartburg '06) will be entering his first season as an assistant football coach with the Auggies. Pollock will be serving as the co-defensive coordinator and will be working with the linebackers as well as strength and conditioning for the team.

Previous Coaching Experience:
Graduate Assistant Coach, Linebackers - Winona State (2006-2008) - NCAA Division II playoff appearances in 2006 and 2007; Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Champions in 2007; Top five in Division II in turnover margin (2006-08); Coached five all-conference linebackers and one NSIC Defensive Player of the Year.

Playing Experience/Achievements:
As a player at Wartburg College from 2002-05, Pollock was a three-year starter for the Knights. He was a member of three conference championship and NCAA playoff teams and earned All-West Region honors and was selected as the Wartburg defensive MVP in 2005. Pollock played his high school football at Aplington-Parkersburg High School where he led his team to the 2001 state championship.

Personal/Family Notes:
Pollock was the 2002 recipient of the Bernie Saggau Award (awarded by the state of Iowa for excellence in academics, citizenship, extracurricular activities, and achievement. He has three brothers, a sister-in-law and two nieces. Pollock completed his Master's of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership in December of 2008 from Winona State University and currently resides in St. Louis Park, Minn.
