Steve Lydon (Minnesota ‘87) enters his second season as the Auggie’s receiver coach, and his 10th as a collegiate coach. This year, Lydon will also take on the responsibility as the Special Teams Coordinator.

Augsburg Coaching Highlights:
Last year the team was ranked 5th nationally in Div. III in passing under his guidance, with a total of 299 completions and 3,255 passing yards. Lydon mentored All-American receiver Royce Winford, who had 93 receptions, for 1,139 yards and 16 touchdowns, an Augsburg school record. In that same year, Lydon also coached Muneer Al-Hameed and Mike Nourie who combined for an additional 106 catches and 1,218 yards.

Personal/Family Notes:
Lydon is works for Delta Airlines and lives in Edina with his wife Jane and children Tim, Tess and Joe. He is also an active member of the American Football Coaches Association. Lydon earned his masters degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 2000.
