Andrew Neumann (Augsburg ‘07) returns to the Augsburg coaching staff for his second season, after serving as an assistant in 2007-08.
Neumann shined in both football and wrestling at Augsburg. In wrestling, Neumann competed twice at the NCAA Division III national tournament at heavyweight, earning All-American honors with a fifth-place finish in 2007. He finished his career with a 93-40 record. In football, he finished his career as one of the top tight ends in school history, with 186 receptions and 2,006 receiving yards.
Academically, Neumann earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first-team and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America second-team honors in football in 2006, and earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors in both 2006 and 2007. He was named an Augsburg Honor Athlete in 2007.
