Guide for Visiting Teams -- Athletic Training
Athletic Training Services for your Event
In accordance with NCAA and MIAC guidelines, a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) will be at all Augsburg University home events. Our sports medicine staff will be available at least one hour prior to athletic events. Augsburg student sports medicine assistants (SMAs), may be at events functioning as First Aiders. These students will be assisting ATCs and any visiting teams without medical staff.
Ice, water (cups only available upon request), first aid supplies, and emergency equipment including an AED will be near the team bench at each event. Visiting athletic trainers will have a taping table near locker room or bench and are welcome to use the sports medicine center for any treatments and taping. If your athletes require any electrical modalities we require a note from their team athletic trainer with specific parameters listed. Â
If your team is traveling without a certified athletic trainer, please send emergency contact information and all the needed taping supplies with the coach. Please contact the athletic trainer assigned to the host team with instructions for your team needs at least 48 hours prior to the event.
