MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College rallied from a 2-1 second-period deficit to claim a 4-2 victory over St. John's University on Saturday night, completing a 2-0 series sweep in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoff semifinal series at Augsburg Ice Arena. The Auggies (17-6-4), regular-season co-champions in the MIAC, advance to the league playoff finals against the winner of the St. Thomas-Gustavus series. St. Thomas won the first game of the series 8-5 on Saturday, and play the second game Sunday. Site and times of the MIAC playoff finals will be announced later. Augsburg has won 10 games in a row, has a 11-game (10-0-1) unbeaten streak, and has won 14 of its last 16 games (14-1-1). St. John's, two-time defending MIAC regular-season and playoff champions, finishes its season 17-10-0.

St. John's opened the scoring on a goal from Matt Erredge (Jr., Austin, Minn.), then took the lead on an unassisted goal from Bryan Romfo (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) before Augsburg rallied in the third period.
