MINNEAPOLIS (10/6/99) -- Carl Tape (Jr., Faribanks, Alaska/West Valley HS) scored the eventual game-winning goal with 4:53 remaining Wednesday, lifting Carleton College to a 2-1 win over Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer game at Augsburg's Anderson-Nelson Field.
Peter Abraham (Jr., Eagan, Minn./St. Paul Academy) tied the game on a header off a corner kick with 17:34 remaining in the contest. Both Carleton goals came on assists from Andy Indresano (Fr., Grafton, Wis./Milwaukee Marquette HS).
Carleton picked up its first MIAC win of the season, improving to 4-5-1 overall and 1-4 in the MIAC. Augsburg falls to 2-6 overall and 0-5 in the MIAC with its fifth straight loss.
