SUPERIOR, Wis. (11/27/99) -- The University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets used a 22-10 advantage at the free throw line to edge the Augsburg College Auggies in a non-conference women's basketball game at Gates Fieldhouse Saturday.
UWS (2-2) made 22-of-38 free throws as the Auggies, who led 38-37 at half, were whistled for 30 personal fouls.
Senior guard Terri Olsen (Sr., Bessemer, Mich.) had 19 points. Sheri Domitrovich (Jr., Ontonagon, Mich) had a game-high nine rebounds and added 17 points.
Augsburg's
Rachael Ekholm (So., Richfield, Minn.) had 26 points to lead all scorers.
The Yellowjackets play host to Wisconsin-River Falls in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Wednesday (12/1) at 7 p.m. Augsburg opens Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a home game against Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday (12/4) at 1 p.m. at Si Melby Halll.
