Women's Golf 4/26/01 -- Augsburg vs. St. Thomas dual meet

MEET RESULTS

WOODBURY, Minn. (4/26/01) -- Emily Walen (Sr., Hastings, Minn.) shot a 92 to lead the Augsburg College women's golf team in a dual meet against the University of St. Thomas on Thursday at the Prestwick Golf Club Club. St. Thomas claimed a 359-417 win in the dual meet.

Walen's total was good for a fourth-place tie among the 14 golfers in the event. Liz Lorenz (Sr., Robbinsdale, Minn./Cooper HS) shot a 95 to place seventh, Angie Gliniany (Jr., Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) shot a 113, Jackie Jacobs (Fr., Canton S.D.) shot a 117, Anne Osberg (Sr., Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) shot a 118 and Janell Johnson (So., St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) shot a 128.

Macalester's Kristy Schaaf, competing as an individual, had the low round with a 79. Kristine Paulson led St .Thomas with an 87.

The teams compete at the Minnesota Women's College Golf Association Championship on Friday and Saturday (4/27-28) at the North Links Golf Course in North Mankato, Minn.
