MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/17/02) -- Jackelyn Barten (So., Melrose, Minn.) and Amy Fitzner (So., Valley City, N.D.) had 10 kills apiece, leading Concordia College-Moorhead to a three-game sweep of visiting Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match Thursday night at Concordia's Memorial Auditorium.

Game scores were 30-23, 30-10, 30-24 in favor of Concordia, now 16-6 overall and 5-4 in the MIAC. Augsburg dropped its seventh match in a row in falling to 2-17 overall and 1-8 in the MIAC.

Kris Sather (So., Fosston, Minn.) had eight kills and nine service aces for the Cobbers, who scored the three-game win in just one hour and 10 minutes. Andrea Dressel (So., Maple Plain, Minn./Watertown-Mayer HS) and Rhiannon Grimm (So., Hazen, N.D.) had six digs apiece. Jessica Walden (So., Hawley, Minn.) had 19 assists, with Nicole Maasjo (Fr., Dent, Minn./Perham, Minn.) adding 13 assists.

Augsburg hit just .067 in the match, with 19 attack errors and 25 kills. Lisa Miller (Sr., Hanover, Minn./Buffalo HS) led the Auggies with 12 kills, while Linnea Evans (Fr., Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) had six kills. Anna Piermantier (Jr., Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) had 20 assists and six digs.

Concordia travels to Hamline on Tuesday (10/22) at 7 p.m., while Augsburg returns to action on Wednesday (10/23) with a 7:30 p.m. match at St. Olaf.
