RIVER FALLS, Wis. (11/2/02) -- Lisa Miller (Sr., Hanover, Minn./Buffalo HS) had 41 kills and hit .388 in her final competition, as the Augsburg College volleyball team went 1-3 to close its season at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Trick or Treat Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Karges Center.

On Friday, Augsburg opened the tournament by losing to Wisconsin-Eau Claire (30-22, 30-22, 30-14) and to Wisconsin-Stout (30-16, 30-19, 30-14). On Saturday, Augsburg broke a 14-match losing streak with its first five-game victory of the season, beating Wisconsin-Superior (30-20, 21-30, 30-18, 29-31, 15-11). Augsburg finished the tournament with a three-game loss to host Wisconsin-River Falls (30-13, 30-17, 30-15).

Augsburg finished its season 3-25, the fewest wins in a single season in school history.

Miller's performance was keyed by her play on Saturday, with 21 kills and a .594 hitting performance against Superior, and nine kills while hitting .615 against River Falls. Miller added eight blocks (one solo).

Denise Foster (Sr., Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS) had 36 kills and hit .293 on the weekend, while also accumulating 18 digs. She had had 17 kills, hitting .433, against Superior, and seven kills against both Eau Claire and Stout.

Kristy Larson (So., Pine Island, Minn.) had 26 kills on the weekend, including eight against Eau Claire, nine against Superior and seven against River Falls. Kelly Larvick (Sr., Good Thunder, Minn./Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial HS) had 21 kills and 11 blocks (seven solo), with 10 digs.

Paula Pogatchnik (Sr., Finlayson, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) had 20 kills and 24 digs on the weekend, including 14 kills against River Falls. Anna Piermantier (Jr., Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) compiled 119 assists on the weekend, including 50 in the match against River Falls. Alli Burgess (Jr., Soudan, Minn./Tower-Soudan HS) had 12 digs, while Andrea Spiess (Sr., St. Paul, Minn./St. Bernard's HS) had 11 digs and Linnea Evans (Fr., Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) had 10.
