MINNEAPOLIS (2/1/02) --

May's three-point effort -- two goals and an assist -- helped Augsburg to its fourth straight win, improving to 10-7-3 overall and 6-4-1 in MIAC play. Shawn Smith (Jr., Temagami, Ontario/E.C. Drury HS) and
Joe Johnson (Sr., Ramsey, Minn./Anoka HS).
Augsburg went 2-for-3 on the power play in the game, with the other man-advantage goal coming from

Augsburg outshot St. Olaf by a 38-33 margin -- including a 18-7 advantage in the first period. But the game remained close throughout, as Garret Hasti (So., St. Louis Park, Minn./Hopkins HS) made 34 saves for the Oles, while
Peter Samargia (Jr., Gilbert, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS), last week's MIAC Player of the Week, came up with 30 saves for the Auggies.

Craig Newman (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) and Brian Meyer (Jr., Sun Prairie, Wis.) had assists for the Oles.
