WOODBURY, Minn. (4/18/02) -- The University of St. Thomas women's golf team outscored Augsburg College Thursday in a dual meet at Prestwick Golf Course. The Tommies scored 342 to Augsburg's 460.

UST's Abby Owen, just back from knee surgery, had the low 18-hole round at 82, followed by teammate Kris Paulson at 83 and Lindsay Sand at 86. Katti Severson (91), Leah Wangerin (89), Stephanie Nelson (88), Sarah Doyscher (95), Cassidy Rogers (92), Megan Doyscher (96) and Katie Glorvigan (91) rounded out the St. Thomas players.

Augsburg was led by Jackie Jacobs (So., Canton, S.D., 108) and Janell Johnson (Jr., St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS, 108). Angie Gliniany (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS, 113), Laura Hoffman (So., Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS, 131), Jodi Johnson (Sr., Wayzata, Minn./Minnetonka HS, 138) and Julie Dick (Jr., Minnetonka, Minn., 194) rounded out the Auggie lineup.

Augsburg returns to action Saturday and Sunday (4/20-21) at the Carleton College Invitational at The Summitt Golf Course in Northfield, Minn. St. Olaf, Carleton and St. Thomas are scheduled to join the Auggies in competition.
