Augsburg drops third in a row, falls 4-1 at St. John's.

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (10/13/04) -- Tudor Flintham scored two goals, while Tyler Bosch had a goal and two assists, leading St. John's University to a 4-1 win over visiting Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer game on Wednesday afternoon.

Flintham scored goals in the 12th and 65th minute, while Dan Swift and Bosch had the other Johnnie goals, coming in the 49th and 63rd minutes, respectively. St. Johns' is now 9-3-0 overall, 4-3-0 in MIAC play.

Augsburg's lone goal came on a penalty kick in the 79th minute from Mike Elcano (Sr., Sparks, Nev./Bishop Manogue HS), as Augsburg dropped its third game in a row to fall to 7-6-1 overall, 1-4-1 in MIAC play.

St. John's outshot Augsburg by a 23-15 margin, including a 16-5 edge in the second half. The Johnnies also had nine corner kicks to Augsburg's one. Lucas Grant (Sr., Starbuck, Minn./Minnewaska HS) made nine saves for the Auggies.

Augsburg returns to MIAC play on Saturday (10/16) as part of a soccer doubleheader at Concordia-Moorhead. The women's game is at 1 p.m., with the men's game following at 3:30 p.m.
