Suk notches second career hat trick, Augsburg wins 4-2 at Northwestern-Roseville!

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (10/5/04) -- Millie Suk * (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) scored her second career hat trick with three goals in the first half, as Augsburg College claimed a 4-2 victory over Northwestern College-Roseville in a nonconference women's soccer game Tuesday afternoon at Reynolds Field.

Suk claimed her sixth multiple-goal game of her career with goals in the 13th, 27th and 30th minutes, as Augsburg improved to 5-5-0 on the season. Northwestern drops to 4-8 overall.

Augsburg outshot Northwestern by a 28-9 margin and held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Northwestern's Liddy Goderstad notched the first goal of the game in the ninth minute, on an assist from Abby Revell. Revell scored in the 52nd minute on a throw-in that deflected off Augsburg goalkeeper Liz Osterman (Fr., Lincoln, Neb./Southeast HS).

Augsburg scored four goals in a 17-minute span in the first half to take over the game. Suk scored from Emily Anderson (So., Hudson, Wis.) in the 13th minute, Becky Lewis (So., Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall HS) scored an unassisted goal in the 22nd minute, Suk scored from Liz Hollander (Fr., Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) in the 27th minute and completed her hat trick with a goal from Angie Neuhaus (Fr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest HS) in the 30th minute.

Osterman made three saves for the Auggies. Jada Glidden made 15 saves for Northwestern.

Augsburg returns to action on Saturday (10/9) at 1 p.m. with a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Gustavus. Northwestern plays an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference game at Northland (Wis.) on Friday (10/8) at 1 p.m.
