ST. CLOUD, Minn. (2/10/06) -- Jocelyn Cookson (Sr., Edina, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS) scored two goals and added an assist, and Amanda Bockmann (So., Wind Lake, Wis./Muskego HS) stopped all 30 shots she faced in goal to record her third collegiate shutout, as Augsburg College scored a 5-0 win over the College of St. Benedict in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game Friday night at the Municipal Athletic Complex.

Caryn Quist (Fr., St. Cloud, Minn./Cahedral HS) had a goal and an assist, and Jenny Schmidt (So., North St. Paul, Minn.) and Jennillee Moe (So., Brookings, S.D./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had two assists apiece for the Auggies, who broke a five-game losing streak to improve to 7-11-2 overall, 6-5-2 in MIAC play.

St. Benedict dropped its seventh straight game in falling to 2-14-2 overall, 2-9-2 in MIAC play. St. Benedict is winless in its last 13 straight games (0-12-1).

Cookson scored both of her goals from Schmidt, the first goal at the 2:17 mark of the first period and the second at the 5:15 mark of the second period. Cookson has had three two-goal games so far this season.

Katie Medd (So., Mankato, Minn./East HS) scored from Cookson at the 9:24 mark of the second period.

Augsburg scored two power-play goals in the third period. With a 5-on-3 advantage, Tiffany Magnuson (Fr., Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy HS) scored her team-leading 16th goal of the season, and fourth power-play goal, from Moe and Quist at the 13:29 mark. Quist followed 29 seconds later with a power-play goal from Brittney LeBlanc (So., Anoka, Minn.) and Moe to complete the Auggie scoring.

Sarah Zweber (Fr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) made 23 saves in goal for St. Benedict. Bockmann recorded her second shutout of the season in goal for the Auggies.

The teams complete the MIAC series on Saturday (2/11) at 2:15 p.m. at the Augsburg Ice Arena.
