MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. (1/19/07) -- Senior goalie Treye Kettwick had 18 saves in his first shutout of the season and Alex Coles and Kevin Rollwagen scored unassisted breakaway goals to lead the host University of St. Thomas (6-8 overall, 2-3 MIAC) to a 4-0 victory over Augsburg College (5-7-4 overall, 2-1-4 MIAC) in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey play Friday night at the St. Thomas Ice Arena.
The teams play again Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Augsburg Ice Arena in Minneapolis.
Playing its first MIAC game in six weeks, UST broke a two-game losing skid. Coles scored 8:06 into the game for a 1-0 lead. Six minutes into period two, Nick Nelson's rebound shot made it 2-0.
Rollwagen scored a short-handed breakaway goal 3:00 into the third period for a 3-0 lead. Tom Knutson scored his first collegiate goal with 1:02 remaining to close the scoring.
Andy Kent (So., Lakeville, Minn.) had 34 saves in goal for the Auggies, who were outshot 38-18.
