MINNEAPOLIS (10/1/07) -- Goalkeeper Maggie DeGroot * (Jr., Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West HS) recorded her 22nd career shutout and third in a row with an 11-save effort for Augsburg College, while University of Wisconsin-River Falls goalkeeper Emily Stieler (So., Ham Lake, Minn./Andover HS) claimed her first shutout of the season with a 10-save effort, as the teams played to a two-overtime, scoreless tie in a nonconference women's soccer contest on Monday night at Augsburg's Edor Nelson Field.

DeGroot extended hers, and her team's, scoreless streak to 371:43 over the last four games with 110 minutes of shutout action on Monday. DeGroot is now one away from moving into second place in Augsburg's career shutout record list; Laura Hoffman (2000-03) is in second with 23 shutouts and Beth Petrik (1995-98) holds the school record, with 26.

Augsburg is now 5-3-3 overall, while Wisconsin-River Falls is now 1-7-2 overall. The Auggies outshot the Falcons by a 14-13 margin in regulation and by a 7-4 margin in the 20 minutes of overtime. Augsburg also had five corner kicks (including three in overtime) to Wisconsin-River Falls' two.

Mitra Rahimi * (Sr., Eden Prairie, Minn.) had six shots for Augsburg, while Lacey Hoover (Fr., Duluth, Minn./Central HS) had four shots. Kelsey Watsabaugh (Jr., Eden Prairie, Minn./Hopkins HS) and Angie Neuhaus (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest HS) had three shots apiece.

Betsy Straub (Jr., Rosemount, Minn.) and Jen Terry (Jr., Shoreview, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) had three shots apiece for Wisconsin-River Falls.

Both teams return to play in their respective conferences on Wednesday (10/3). Augsburg hosts Macalester in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at 7:30 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field, while Wisconsin-River Falls plays at Wisconsin-Superior in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at 4 p.m.
