MINNEAPOLIS (11/9/07) -- Jim Jensen (FY, Plymouth, Minn./Osseo HS) scored his first two collegiate points with a goal and an assist for Augsburg College, as did Chris Berry (SO, Calgary, Alberta) for the University of Wisconsin-Superior, including the game-tying goal with 17 seconds remaining in regulation, as the teams played to a 2-2 overtime tie in a nonconference men's hockey game on Friday night at the Augsburg Ice Arena.

Augsburg (0-2-1 overall) scored the first two goals of the game, but Wisconsin-Superior (1-1-2 overall) tied the game with two power-play goals in the final seven minutes of regulation time. Neither team scored in overtime, with the Yellowjackets outshooting the Auggies by a 4-0 margin in the extra five minutes.

Wisconsin-Superior outshot Augsburg by a 39-19 margin, including a 27-13 edge through the first two periods. Augsburg goalie Adam Hendel (JR, Bay City, Wis./Red Wing (Minn.) HS) claimed 37 saves in net, while Chad Beiswenger (JR, Moorhead, Minn.) claimed 17 saves for the Yellowjackets.

Augsburg opened the scoring early in the second period, when Cory Ellertson (FY, Albert Lea, Minn.) scored his first collegiate goal on an assist by Jensen. Jensen scored his first collegiate goal at the 4:25 mark of the third period, on assists from Chris Johnson (SO, Verona, Wis./Madison Memorial HS) and Dan Leopold (SR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS).

But the Yellowjackets scored twice on late power plays. Eric Bausano (JR, Laurium, Mich.) scored from Berry at the 13:03 mark, and after a penalty was called on Augsburg with 2:09 left, the Yellowjackets pulled their goalie and tied the game with 17 seconds left, as Berry scored from Rob Turville (JR, Olds, Alberta).

Both teams have nonconference games on Saturday (11/10), as Augsburg hosts St. Scholastica at 7:05 p.m. and Wisconsin-Superior plays at Hamline at 7:15 p.m.
