SCHOFIELD, Wis. (12/28/07) -- Ryan Sullivan (JR, Marquette, Mich.) scored twice during a five-minute major penalty, providing the go-ahead goals for Finlandia University in a 4-2 victory over Augsburg College in a nonconference, neutral-site men's hockey game Friday night at the Greenheck Field House.

Augsburg (0-10-1 overall) rallied from an early deficit to take a lead on two goals in the first period, from Colin Briscoe (FY, Rochester, Minn./Century HS) at the 9:02 mark and from Dan Carlson (SR, Roseville, Minn.) at the 18:31 mark. Trevor McCormick (SR, Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) and Tim Lawson (SR, Monument, Colo./Lewis-Palmer HS) assisted on Briscoe's goal, while Kurt Hogard (JR, Thunder Bay, Ontario/St. Ignatius HS) assisted on Carlson's tally.

Finlandia (7-3-1) tied the game at the 17:04 mark of the second period, as Corey Blake (JR, Marquette, Mich.) scored an unassisted goal. In the third period on a major penalty, Sullivan scored twice from Josh Paquette (SR, Marquette, Mich.), at the 9:33 mark and 11:47 mark. The Lions' first goal came from Keith Johnstone (JR, Marquette, Mich.), just 2:56 into the game.

After being outshot by a 11-5 margin in the first period, Finlandia outshot the Auggies by a 27-13 margin the rest of the way. Andrew Kent (JR, Lakeville, Minn.) collected 28 saves for Augsburg, while Ryan Donovan (FY, Pinckney, Mich.) claimed 22 saves for the Lions.

The teams finish the nonconference series on Saturday (12/29) at 8 p.m. at the Greenheck Field House.
