(3/1/07) -- Treye Kettwick (Sr., DeWitt, Iowa) stopped 22 of 23 shots and Andy Panchenko (Jr., Eagan, Minn./Eastview HS) scored a key insurance goal with 7:37 remaining as the No. 2-seed University of St. Thomas (17-9 overall) scored a 3-1 win over No. 3-seed and visiting Augsburg College (12-10-4) in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey semifinal game Thursday night at the St. Thomas Ice Arena.
Nick Harris (Sr., Hastings, Minn.) had two assists for the Tommies, who ran their winning streak to 10 -- the longest current victory streak in men's collegiate hockey. St. Thomas is in the conference finals for the sixth year in a row and 20th time in the 22-year history of the event. The Toms will face top-seed Bethel, a 5-1 home winner over fourth-seed St. Olaf.

St. Thomas took a 2-0 lead on two power-play goals less than 6:00 apart -- Nick Pernula's (Jr., Osseo, Minn.) late first-period goal, and Kevin Rollwagen's (Sr., Bloomington, Minn./Holy Angels HS) early second-period tally.
Augsburg got on the board with 13:45 to play on
Critter Nagurski *'s (Sr., International Falls, Minn.) goal, on an assist by
Patrick Fogerty (So., Forest Lake, Minn.). Clinging to a 2-1 lead, UST got some breathing room when Panchenko redirected a shot from Andy Edwards (Sr., Mounds View, Minn.) for a two-goal lead.
Andy Kent (So., Lakeville, Minn.) collected 17 saves in goal for the Auggies, who outshot St. Thomas by a 23-20 margin.
